    Prof. Dr. Martin Vogt holds the professorship for Business Intelligence, in particular Advanced Analytics, at the Faculty of Economics at Trier University of Applied Sciences. In this role, he is responsible in particular for the areas of data dcience, data mining, statistical learning and statistics. Previously, Prof. Vogt worked in the financial sector for many years, first as a management consultant at KPMG Luxembourg, then as Vice President at Deutsche Bank Luxembourg S.A. and Deutsche Asset Management Luxembourg SA and finally as Head of Risk, Valuation & Reporting and Managing Director for LRI Invest S.A. and LRI Invest Securitization S.A. With this background, he combines the perspectives of a service provider, a large corporation and a medium-sized company on the financial sector. Martin Vogt is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and studied applied mathematics with a focus on economics at the Universities of Trier and Glasgow and then did his doctorate at the Chair of Economic and Social Statistics at the University of Trier. His research has received several awards, including the Gerhard Fürst Prize, awarded by the Federal Statistical Office.
