Talk “Artificial intelligence (AI) - the world-shaking technology of the future” by Prof. Dr. Marius Kloft for the interested public in Niederelbert

Tuesday, 28.05.2024, 19:00, Niederelbert parish hall (hiking and cultural association)

Prof. Dr. Marius Kloft, Professor of Machine Learning at the Department of Computer Science at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, demystifies the world of AI in his lecture and shows how it enriches our everyday lives and revolutionizes business applications across industries. He begins with the basics of AI and explains its presence in everyday applications, from smartphones to personalized services. Prof. Kloft pays particular attention to generative AI, which can create new content such as text and images, and illustrates its benefits for people in their daily lives. Using practical examples, he shows that AI is not only accessible to experts, but that anyone can benefit from the advantages of this technology.

The implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) has fundamentally changed both our everyday lives and the economic landscape. Particularly noteworthy is the role of generative AI, which is expected to significantly increase gross value added in Germany - an effect that is comparable to the most important industrial innovations and opens up new international opportunities for our country in particular.

Co-speaker Jens Wiechering, founder and Managing Director of Binary Impact GmbH in Niederelbert, will report on the CARVE-DL (AI in Digital Forensics) research project, which is being carried out by the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Binary Impact GmbH and the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office of Criminal Investigation with the support of the Federal Criminal Police Office, as an example of the application of artificial intelligence. The aim of the project is to improve and accelerate the processing and recovery of constructed digital data residues in the fight against crime. The application of deep learning is intended to simplify and accelerate digital forensics.
