In order to provide interested members of the public with an insight into the fundamentals, example applications, and societal impact of artificial intelligence (AI), members of Prof. Dr. Marius Kloft's Machine Learning group at the Department of Computer Science at the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) are organizing a series of on-site lectures in city libraries in the region. This came about on the initiative of the respective municipal libraries and in cooperation with the KI project office at the Kaiserslautern location of the KI Alliance Rhineland-Palatinate. After the lecture in the public library Frankenthal on 16.06.2023 ("Digitaltag") with the speakers Billy Joe Franks and Steffen Reithermann was a great success with the audience from the society, so far already further such events are planned in Ludwigshafen (14.09.2023), Wörth (05.03.2024) and Worms.
