Privacy Guardrail: A protective layer for AI prompts right in the browser

The research group led by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Vollmer,
who is affiliated with both the Department of Computer Science at RPTU and the DFKI,
has released the innovative tool "Privacy Guardrail".

The goal of this Chrome browser plugin is to
remove personally identifiable information from AI queries
before this sensitive data is transmitted via AI prompts
to AI systems - such as ChatGPT or Claude - in the cloud.

This is a significant pragmatic contribution,
particularly in light of current discussions
regarding EU sovereignty in the fields of IT and AI.
