    For an article in the online (November 19, 2025) and print (November 20, 2025) editions of RHEINPFALZ,
    Prof. Dr. Marius Kloft from the Chair of Machine Learning at RPTU in Kaiserslautern
    was interviewed on November 17, 2025 as spokesperson for the project
    “AI for Chemical Risk Prediction in Aquatic Environments (AI4ChemRisk)”
    funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation with around six million euros.

    He was supported by his colleague Steffen Reithermann, who is also managing director of the AI project office of the AI Alliance Rhineland-Palatinate.

    The aim of the interdisciplinary AI4ChemRisk project, involving eight researchers from the fields of
    computer science (artificial intelligence), environmental sciences, and chemical engineering, is to
    use AI methods to better predict the risks of water pollution from chemicals.
