Department 2: Engineering, Information Technology and Economics, Bingen Technical University of Applied Sciences
In recent years, Faculty 2 of the Technical University of Bingen has focused heavily on practical research in the field of artificial intelligence. It works closely with various industrial partners to develop solutions for real application problems. An example is the automatic creation of railway traffic plans for Deutsche Bahn. Here, a team from TH Bingen supports the development of complex AI algorithms and thus helps with the efficient use of the German rail network. Another project is developing new methods for analyzing and predicting the molecular functions of proteins, for example, to identify genetic variants of crops that are able to cope with the particular challenges of climate change.
