  Koblenz University of Applied Sciences is located in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate on the beautiful Rhine River. With the goal of providing a comprehensive, high-quality education, graduates have the skills and know-how to meet any challenge in today's globalized and ever-changing job market.

  With application-oriented and innovative research, Koblenz University offers decisive contributions in various fields of science and technology.

  In the field of computer science research, the focus is on Data Driven Systems, and in Artificial Intelligence research, primarily in the application area of medicine and biotechnology as well as healthcare. This includes projects in the areas of molecular cancer research, medical technology, occupational health and safety, and clinical decision support based on electronic patient records and medical imaging. Since the end of 2022, the university has been cooperating closely with the University of Koblenz in the joint research college Data2Health "Trustworthy Data Analyses in Healthcare".

  The methodological focus is on the areas of longitudinal data, image processing and computer vision, multimodal data, causal models and optimal control/reinforcement learning. Here, Koblenz University of Applied Sciences benefits from its many years of experience in the fields of statistics and data science and expertise in applied mathematics (bio- economic and technomathematics). Currently, these are being combined with new study programs focusing on AI, which are scheduled to start in 2024.
