Information about the Content

  • The focus here is on visualization: Computervisualistik is a modern and innovative computer science degree program with an emphasis on computer graphics and image processing. With the exception of Magdeburg University, Koblenz-Landau is the only university to offer this consecutive degree program.

The degree program conveys basic knowledge in all areas of computer science and mathematics. The fact that 25% of students studying this subject are female shows that the degree program is popular among women. The versatility of the degree program is especially apparent in the interdisciplinary field: the program content includes Practical Drawing and Art History, Visual Psychology, Philosophy and the Didactics of Images.

Thanks to their wide-ranging training, graduates of the Computervisualistik program are well-equipped for positions in particular in modern, multi-media environments. They can find employment in large corporations where processes are increasingly being converted to image processing and visualization systems as well as in young and innovative enterprises in the creative, multi-media world.
